Gahanna Lincoln High School is affiliated with the Educational Theatre Association as the International Thespian Society’s troupe #1334. This organization was founded in 1929 in West Virginia in order to promote excellence in Secondary School Theatre. Gahanna Lincoln High School’s involvement with ITS began in 1967, when the troupe was chartered. In order to become inducted into this international organization, a student must earn ten points, either working on stage or back stage for the schools’ productions. (Each point is worth approximately 10 hours’ worth of work. Suggested point values may be found on the Educational Theatre Association’s website) Once a student acquires the ten points needed for induction, they receive an invitation to join ITS. Installation of the new members takes place twice during the school year. We have a mid-year induction in January, as well as a ceremony at our theatre banquet in May.
