“Bright Star” Video Download Form

Digital, archival recordings are being provided to cast and crew members of GLHS’s 2025 production of Bright Star free of charge. This page and the files will NOT be available indefinitely, so please download your copy soon and store it in a safe place (or multiple places). Storage and bandwidth of these large files cost money, so please don’t download the same file multiple times.

FAQ:

Can I share the video online?

No! These files are intended for PERSONAL, ARCHIVAL PURPOSES ONLY. Do not share the videos, in full or as clips, on any social media or video sharing sites, such as youtube, facebook, tictok, vimeo, etc. PLEASE don’t draw unwanted attention to our program and just enjoy the video privately.

But I see other shows people upload to YouTube all the time. Why can’t I share this awesome show with the world?

Most likely, they’re not supposed to record or share their videos either. Or in some rare cases, they may have special permission or have paid (a lot) more money for streaming rights. We have not, so keep these videos private, PLEASE. Also, not everyone in the video may want their performance online, so respect the program and respect your fellow cast and crew.

Why are there different files and what’s the difference?

The show is provided in 1080 Full HD (Blu-ray quality), 720 HD (not quite full HD) and 480 Standard Def (DVD quality). You’ll probably want the 1080 HD files, but other files are smaller and provided for people with bandwidth or storage limitations.

I’ve downloaded previous GLHS shows as .zip files and had to unzip them to get the video. Is that still a thing?

NOPE! No more ZIP files! The links will now download the .mp4 file and you can play it right away. One less step and you don’t need as much free space on your computer/device to unzip. (If this is your first time downloading a GLHS theater video, just ignore this.)
